Known Issues
The 2016–17 Barcelona home shirt is one of Nike’s last designs under the traditional two-stripe format before they switched to thinner fading stripes the following season. Long sleeve versions are more collectible and commonly faked. Look for the following authentic markers:
- Textured red central stripes with knitted detailing
- Yellow stitched Nike swoosh, not printed
- Authentic Nike product code: G8L480559 (2016)
- Collar print includes “DRI-FIT” and “Made in Thailand” marking
- Unicef logo heat-pressed on lower back
- Correct sleeve sponsor: Beko
Fake versions often miss the texture in the stripes, have thinner collar prints, or feature an incorrect shade of red.
